Vanderbilt & Florida Predictions

I want to apologize for being away for the last few days as I decided to take my son to a Braves game in Atlanta.
UGA vs. Vanderbilt

Let me start by saying that this is not 2006 and there will be no win for Vanderbilt this year. If it wasn't for the fact the Mark Richt refuses to run up the score on opponents i would be predicting a 51-3 game. But knowing that he decides to just run out the clock when he gets a big lead, i will simply predict a blowout. Final Score: Win 42-3

UGA vs. Florida

This is going to be a good year to be a Dawg fan. Florida looses in this one Tebow most likely will not even have a chance to start this game as he will be coming off of a rough previous 3 weeks with games against Auburn at home, at LSU and at Kentucky. Tebow is going to see what it's like being a running QB in the SEC. Georgia wins this game handily. So much for a repeat at Gatorville. Final Score: Win 24-7

Munson 50-50 on returning for 2007!

While it is unfortunate to here, I can't say that I didn't see this coming. Here's to hoping that he's around for another couple of years to announce the 2008 National Championship team!

In case he's not this Video Clip will help us remember the good times.

Ole Miss and Tennessee Predictions

UGA vs Ole Miss

Well the only thing that scares me about htis game is that we may be looking past it to the Vols. I see us redeeming ourselves for the fiasco that was last years game. Final Score: Win 30-13

UGA vs Tennessee
I see Georgia winning this game at Richt-Neyland Stadium. This game ends with a score by Georgia (Hob-Nailed Boot) in the final seconds of the game. Final Score: Win 24-23

Commit Number 15

According to Rivals.com

Bryce Ros
Ht: 6-foot-4 Wt: 233 lbs
Forty: 4.7 secs
Bench max: 370 pounds
Bench reps: 35
Squat max: 535 pounds
GPA: 2.8
Class: 2008 (High School)
Bryce Ros has said time after time that Athens is like a second home to him and he decided to officially make that town his future home today. He had over 20 offers from other schools and chose to make the Dawgs his home.

Naderris Ward

Since the arrests for open container gathered our 3rd string QB and starting TE a suspension for the first 2 games of the season, the starting position for TE has been a worry for Dawg fans. Things seem to be looking up according to this report in Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"Athens — The competitive spirit of Georgia tight end NaDerris Ward can be summed up in six inches of scar tissue on the top of his left shoulder.
The jagged blemish is left from reconstructive shoulder surgery the freshman underwent last September, just a couple of months after arriving on campus from his home in Oakland, Calif. But that's not the telling part."

Odds for a National Championship!!

According to sportsbetting.com, the odds of the Bulldogs winning the national title are 35 to 1. That’s the fourth best odds among SEC schools. Florida leads at 7 to 1, followed by LSU (10-1) and Arkansas (30-1). Behind Georgia are Auburn and Tennessee (60-1), Alabama (75-1) and South Carolina (100-1). The favorite is Southern Cal at 5-2.

Special Report

Let me start this off by stating that I have a friend that is a LSU fan. I know there really is no hope for him. This pic that I found is just for him. So Drew this one is for you!

SEC East 2007 Finishing Order

1. 11-1 (1 loss in SEC) Auburn
2. 9-3 (2 losses in SEC) Georgia, Florida
3. 9-3 (3 Losses in SEC) Georgia, LSU, Tennessee
4. 9-3 (3 Losses in SEC) Georgia, LSU, SCarolina

Western Carolina & Alabama Predictions

UGA vs. Western Carolina
Not much to be said about this match-up. We win this one going away.
Final Score: Win 48-6

UGA vs. Alabama
We will definately get up for this one, just because it's Alabama. However I don not see them giving us a real test this year. Should be as easy a victory as you can get in the SEC.
Final Score: Win 24-10

Gettin Cocky

Well it seems that The TurdBird fans are at it again. Not only have they rated Sanford Stadium as the worst place to visit, they also rated us as the worst visiting fans.

"Judging by UGA fans one would think GA was still a penal colony" JRob(CockyTalk.com)

"Georgia fans are awful. I have never been so irritated as I was this past year listening to those drunk rednecks hoot and holler on their bullhorns around our tailgate lot. "MecklenburgCock(CockyTalk.com)

Funny these people do not really understand that the reason the fans act the way they do is because no matter how the games turns out they beleive that they won the game, just the scoreboard didn't reflect it.

The most common excuses that I've heard.
"If it wasn't for that bad call" All calls are bad that don't go the TurdBirds way!
"If we would scored instead being stopped on the 2 yard line....twice!" I call it good defense.
"If so and so hadn't been hurt" Injuries are part of the game....live with it!

My advice to the TurdBird fans.....quit making excuses. Man up and accept a loss, you don't have to like it. But please by all that is holy stop complaining about it!

Oklahoma State & South Carolina Predictions

This will be my first in a series of predictions for our upcoming season. It will be ongoing to include each game we play this year. When we get to the SEC championship game and Bowl games I will post my predictions then.

UGA vs. Oklahoma State
This game scares me because we are facing a BCS conference school in the first game of the season. However I see my beloved Bulldogs coming out on top in this one because I believe that our defense will be a bit better than that of the Cowboys. Final Score: Win 31-27

UGA vs. South Carolina
Another game that worries me. South Carolina always seems to play us close for some reason. Maybe because it's early in the season but luckily we will have already been tested to an extent by the Cowboys, but I see us pulling this one off.
Final Score: Win 20-14

A Carolina Dawg's Start

Ok so I'm new to this blogging stuff and decided to do a Bulldog Blog to pass the time until the Dawgs start there season September 1st 2007 against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Please bear with me as I figure out where I will be heading with this site. Working in an office full of Carolina fans makes life unbearable dureing the year and this site will help me pass the time while listening to the Chicken fans talk about how Spurrier is going to lead them to the promised land this year.
